State health officials ramp up vaccinations as infections begin to rise again

After dropping steadily from a mid-November high numbers, the statewide COVID-19 positivity and hospitalization rates began to edge back up in recent days, causing concern among state health officials.
To address a possible trend, officials announced on Friday the launch of Rapid Response Vaccination Teams to five counties and the expansion of vaccine eligibility where demand appears to have waned.
