Chronicle launches garage sale, help wanted ads

Readers can now find garage sale listings and job postings on the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle’s website, hfchronicle.com.

The Chronicle launched these new website pages in mid-April due to popular demand, said Public Outreach Manager Patty Houlihan.

“Lots of readers have asked us to list garage sales. We’re glad to add them just as the warm weather is arriving,” she said.

Interns broaden local news coverage, gain experience

In welcoming its first two interns this summer, the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle is expanding coverage and teaching local young people how to be journalists — part of its mission to serve the community.

Community gives Chronicle a hand in delivering 25,000 papers

Community residents who distribute the H-F Chronicle are about to deliver their 25,000th paper with the May edition. With more than 5,000 copies printed monthly, a team of 15 volunteers will distribute the paper to over 50 locations in Homewood and Flossmoor.

The first print edition of the H-F Chronicle will hit the streets on Dec. 2. The Homewood-Flossmoor community’s own newspaper, published online for well over a year, has come to life on newsprint, with 5,000 copies widely available throughout both towns this week, free of charge.

Start the presses! Community backs print edition of the Chronicle

In just two weeks, the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle raised enough money from the community to put out its first print edition.

The Chronicle quickly met—and exceeded—its goal of $3,500 through a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.com and at a community open house at Grape & Grain in Homewood.

Community backs Chronicle in first fundraiser

The Chronicle started its fundraising campaign over the weekend. It took only 24 hours for the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle to raise more than half the money it will need for a print edition and other projects.
