New joint program helping H-F students earn a college degree in three years

The Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233 Board of Education has approved a three-way agreement that will give Homewood-Flossmoor High students the opportunity to earn a college business degree in three years.

Over the next five years, the District 233 school board will be working from a set of six goals geared to continuously improve Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s educational offerings, finances and community relations.

 

H-F board applies for state grant to reduce taxes

The District 233 school board unanimously approved a grant application that could help reduce property taxes by more than $2 million.
 
The board agreed at its December meeting to apply for the Property Tax Relief Grant. The Illinois State Board of Education will review applications this month to determine whether Homewood-Flossmoor High School qualifies for the grant. 

H-F High board tries to quell anger after principal is ousted

About 500 people attended and nearly three dozen people spoke at a special H-F High School board meeting Thursday, June 30. Residents voiced frustration and anger with the board’s recent decision to relieve Pitcock of his position as principal.
