Homewood’s Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off set for Sept. 28

Homewood’s 18th annual Fall Fest on Saturday, Sept. 28, will include a range of fun — and in one case, tasty — competitions. Events include a chili cookoff, bean bag tournament and pumpkin carving contest.

Whatever he mixed into the pot, his Voodoo Chili won him first place in the amateur section of Homewood’s annual chili cook-off, part of Fall Fest on Saturday, Sept. 29, in downtown Homewood. It was his first time entering the contest.

Homewood Fall Fest will inaugurate new downtown streetscape with music, food and family fun

Residents can mark the changing season at the Homewood's annual Fall Fest from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, on Martin Avenue from Hickory to Ridge Road. The 14th annual celebration features live music for all ages, the traditional Chili Cook-off to crown "Homewood's Top Chef," the second annual scarecrow decorating contest, enchanting horse-drawn wagon rides and an outdoor viewing of "Monster University."
