Teen injured in shooting Monday night

A 13-year-old was injured by gunfire late Monday in the 18800 block of Castle Road in Homewood, according to police.

The teen was in a vehicle when the shots were fired and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. Police said a tan SUV was observed in the area. 

Shooting incident leaves property damage

Homewood police are investigating a shooting incident in which three homes and one vehicle were damaged on Monday night, according to a press release.

Just before 9 p.m. on Nov. 23, Homewood police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 185th and Aberdeen streets, the press release from Homewood Police Department states.

Indiana man arrested for July shooting in Homewood

A 20-year-old man was arrested in his hometown of Indianapolis and extradited to Homewood on charges stemming from a shooting incident in July, according to a press release from Homewood Police Department.

Police said Dontae Clark is charged with attempted murder for an incident that took place on the evening of July 18 at Speedway gas station on the southwest corner of Halsted Street and Ridge Road. 

Two cars involved in shooting incident Sunday near Hazel Crest

Occupants of two moving vehicles exchanged gunfire on Sunday evening near Homewood's border with Hazel Crest.

According to a Homewood Police press release, around 9:30 p.m. on March 8, officers responded to the 2100 block of 175th Street after receiving a report of shots being fired.

Witnesses said a dark-colored vehicle and a light-colored vehicle were both traveling east on 175th Street, when near Butternut Road, the occupants began shooting at each other.
