ERA Amendment topic for March 21 program

The League of Women Voters Homewood Flossmoor Area will welcome Michelle Fadeley as its March 21 speaker discussing the Equal Rights Amendment.
The program is at 7 p.m. at the Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, Homewood.

Home rule forum Feb. 25 hosted by League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters Homewood-Flossmoor area is hosting an informational meeting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, addressing the Village of Homewood’s home rule proposal.

Candidates discuss what’s great in District 161, how to move forward

Seven of nine candidates running for the Flossmoor School District 161 board of education Thursday responded to questions at a well-attended political forum.

In all, the candidates answered nine questions submitted by audience members in the Parker Junior High School gymnasium. The 90-minute forum was sponsored by the Homewood-Flossmoor League of Women Voters.

LWV program looks at women presidential candidates

The Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters is presenting a 6:30 p.m. program on Wednesday, March 15, on the history of women attempting to serve as U.S. president.

League of Women Voters Hosting Candidate Forums

The Homewood-Flossmoor League of Women Voters is offering a host of candidate forums to help voters make informed decisions for the April 4 municipal and school board elections.

Cook County Health System is topic for League’s Nov. 16 meeting

Cook County’s Health and Hospitals System will be the topic of discussion for the Nov. 16 meeting of the Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters.

The 7 p.m. meeting at the Homewood Public Library will feature Linda Christianson of the Cook County League of Women Voters who will make the presentation and address questions.

Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters Hosts Program on the Nov. 8 Election

Are you prepared to vote on every question on the Nov. 8 ballot? 

The League of Women Voters of Homewood-Flossmoor Area will help you be an informed voter through a special 7 p.m. program Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway. Coffee and light refreshments will be served before the program.

Local League of Women Voters will be at Homewood library Tuesday for National Voter Registration Day

The League of Women Voters of the Homewood-Flossmoor area is participating in National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), a nationwide, nonpartisan effort to register thousands of voters this fall.

League members will be at the Homewood Public Library from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Volunteers will assist voters who want to register to vote, or need to update their registration if they have moved.
