Bruni may be write-in challenger after being removed from Flossmoor ballot

David Bruni’s name will not appear on the ballot for the April 2 Flossmoor Village Board election, but he is contemplating a write-in campaign.

Bruni said after the Flossmoor Election Board’s decision Friday he would take several days to decide his next steps for one of the three four-year terms up for election.

Challenged candidate says county found he has enough valid petition signatures

Flossmoor’s electoral board is expected to reach a decision on petition challenges to a village board candidate at a continued hearing this week.

David Bruni, the candidate facing a challenge, says Cook County determined last week that he has enough valid signatures on his petitions to qualify for the April 2 election.

A decision in a challenge to a Flossmoor village board candidate in April’s election has been delayed until the legitimacy of signatures on his nominating petitions can be verified.

Hearing focuses on challenges to Flossmoor candidate petitions

Flossmoor’s local election board this week will consider objections to the petitions submitted by a resident seeking a village trustee seat.

Two incumbent trustees, Perry Hoag and James Mitros, filed objections to the candidate petitions filed by David Bruni. Hoag and Mitros are running for another term in the April 2 consolidated election.
