Christmas tree recycling returns to Irons Oaks

For the sixth straight year, Homewood and Flossmoor residents can recycle their holiday trees at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center. Trees can also be dropped off at Irons Oaks at any time between Dec. 26 and Jan. 18. 

Green Team offers recycling for difficult plastic material

Area Green Team volunteers will be at a booth at the Homewood Farmers Market on Saturday, Oct. 10, to help residents recycle plastic materials that are difficult to dispose of properly.

Homewood Farmers Market responds to input from patrons and vendors as new season begins Saturday

Homewood Farmers Market patrons wanted a winter market. They got it. They want better visibility for crafts and collectables. It's coming. The summer market season will begin Saturday, May 23, and will run through Oct. 10. And on May 30, the market will include its first Hunter & Gatherer Market, which will continue on the last Saturday of each month.
