Robotics team’s competitive season starts with Sunday kickoff event

Homewood-Flossmoor’s Tech Ninja Team is kicking off its season Sunday.
 
The competitive robotics team is hosting an introductory event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
 

H-F wins at SouthWorks Robotics competition

A Homewood-Flossmoor High School robotics team won one of the division trophies in the first SouthWorks Engineering and Robotics Olympics on Saturday, April 8, hosted by the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA).

Tech Ninjas win award for ‘explosive strike’

Parker Junior High Tech Ninjas won the Judges Control Award recently at the Chicago Math and Science Academy FIRST Tech Challenge qualifier. It was the team’s second time competing in FTC, an international program that brings science, problem solving and programming to the middle school and high school students

Students from Parker Junior High School recently successfully competed in a robotic competition, placing eleventh out of 27 teams, most of them made up of Chicago-area high school students
