Proposed martini bar/speakeasy owners request liquor license, describe plans

Owners of a proposed martini bar and speakeasy in downtown Homewood have applied for a liquor license, and at Tuesday's Board of Trustees meeting, they described their plans for martini classes and a Roaring Twenties experience.

New businesses planning to open in Homewood include martini bar downtown, Krispy Kreme on Halsted

The business landscape in Homewood will have several new features in coming months, including martinis, more doughnuts, a new source of fresh produce and painting parties.

At the annual economic development breakfast hosted by the village Thursday, Homewood Mayor Richard Hofeld provided an overview of new businesses that are hoping to open soon.
