H-F Park Board opens application process for commissioner vacancy

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is accepting applications from Homewood and Flossmoor residents who are interested in serving on the board.

Commissioner Sue Bertram is stepping down after 26 years on the board. Her last meeting will be Jan. 19.

The person chosen to fill the vacancy will serve from February 16, 2016 through April 2017. The remaining two years of the commissioner’s seat will be up for election on the ballot in April 2017 consolidated election.

Sue Bertram of Flossmoor, a member of the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District board of trustees for 23 years, said her last meeting will be in January 2016.
