Homewood police are seeking information about a hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening involving a pickup truck and a bicycle.

Man eluding police causes power outage Thursday in Homewood

A Richton Park man's attempt to elude Olympia Fields police ended in Homewood on Thursday morning with a traffic accident that resulted in a power outage.

Charles White, 59, was allegedly involved in an altercation with an Olympia Fields police officer and was attempting to elude arrest, according to Olympia Fields police. 

Homewood woman seeks action on dangerous intersection

On Friday, Aug. 19, a motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident near 183rd Street and Gottschalk Avenue.

It was the most recent accident at or near the intersection that has been the scene of a number of injury accidents in recent years, and it prompted a Homewood woman to ask village officials to take action.

Pedestrian injured in traffic accident Saturday on 183rd Street

Homewood and Flossmoor police, fire and ambulance crews responded about 12:45 p.m. Saturday to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian on 183rd Street in Homewood.

Five injured in June 21 crash on Halsted Street

A two-vehicle traffic accident June 21 in the 17400 block of Halsted Street injured five people, according to Homewood police.

The crash was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m.

All five occupants of a Chevy Tahoe involved in the crash were transported to local hospitals, police said. 

The driver of a second vehicle, a 1999 Saturn, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

At least one person was hurt in a traffic accident at Dixie Highway and Birch Road in Homewood Thursday, Dec. 18.
