The creatures proliferated in the area Sunday and Monday after Sunday's foot and a half of snow created excellent snowperson-making conditions. And in one Homewood neighborhood, they even competed for the honor of being named the Best Snowperson.

Nona Ridel, of the 18500 block of Page Avenue, said on Monday when she and her family finished shoveling, they decided to make a snowman. They ended up making a snow couple.
