After one session, the new Homewood Winter Farmers Market has already outgrown its home.

The second winter market — from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 28 — will take place Fr. Sayers Hall at St. Joseph School, 17949 Dixie Highway.

The Village Hall board room was filled to capacity by six vendors and a steady stream of patrons at the first winter market Jan. 31, according to Market Manager Kate Duff.

When the number of vendors increased by 50 percent, Duff had to find a bigger facility for the popular event.

Vendors from the first session — Homewood Kitchen Gardens, Bakewell Bakery, Enjoi Bakery, Sonoma Farms, TJ Kettlecorn and Cynthia's Gumbo Express — are expected to return, and they will be joined by The Eating Well, HydroSapiens and Angelos Fresh Market.

Sarah Austin, steward of Olive Road Little Free Library, is also expected to return with her colorful cart full of books, which was a hit at the first winter market.
