By now, some of the side dishes — perhaps the cranberries, or sweet potatoes — may already be prepared.
And you may be getting ready to put the turkey in the oven.
There is a very good chance that you are already extremely busy.
We want to interrupt your schedule for a minute or two in hopes that our thanks reaches you.
It’s been an especially rewarding year for the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle and we are very grateful. We have posted hundreds of stories on our website. Nearly all were about our two towns and the people who live here.
In addition, we have published 12 print editions. It has been a lot of fun passing them out at the Metra stations, at stores and many other venues all around the community.
And we have big plans for 2017.
We know how fortunate we are to be in a community that values a local news source that’s telling your stories and getting them right. We are gratified by the support we’ve received. We are happy every day to be here.
So, on this most American of holidays, we are giving thanks for the bounty in our own lives and the part that you, dear reader, have played in them. We extend our best wishes for the holiday season ahead and into the new year.
