Oct. 22 Boogie Nights bash revives ’70s, ’80s

BOOgie Nights, one of the Homewood-Flossmoor area’s premier costume parties, is returning for its ninth year. This year’s party will flash back to the era of platform shoes, disco outfits and lots of hair. Organizers say costume attire from the 1970s and 1980s is highly encouraged. Hosted by The Community Board of The Cancer Support Center, the party is taking place from 8 p.m. to midnight Oct. 22 at Wiley’s Grill, 800 Kedzie Avenue in Flossmoor.

All proceeds go to the Cancer Support Center.

The Cancer Support Center helps people who are battling cancer, and their loved ones, too. It offers a holistic approach: from counseling and support groups to yoga and nutritional counseling, all provided by expert professionals at no cost.

Tickets are $60 and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, open bar, silent auction and lots of fun. Live music will be performed by The Brat Pack, last year’s energetic 80’s cover band.
