Kids can learn chemical reactions Sept. 16 at Homewood Science Center

The Homewood Science Center’s “Ready, Set, Experiment!” Pop-Up Science Program on Saturday, Sept. 16, will give kids the chance to learn through doing.

This program runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the science center, 18022 Dixie Highway.

Chemists from Dober Corporation will have several stations for hands-on activities that will let kids see the chemical reactions that allow them to make elephant toothpaste and silly putty, learn how to puncture a balloon with the pop and see recreational airplane demonstrations.

Dober is a conglomerate manufacturer of industrial products whose chemists and engineers work to develop solutions that are at the forefront of today’s emerging technologies.
