The Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, has developed several special programs around the “Thinking Money: A Financial Expedition” exhibit now on display.

From 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, the program “Funding Your Fido” will teach kids the real cost of owning a pet. The session will be led by a representative of the South Suburban Humane Society. Participants will play a game modeled after “The Price is Right.”

At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, students grades 7 through 12 will be participating in “Think Money Jeopardy,” a finance version of the classic game show.

“Finance Frenzy Escape Room” and “Night of the Living Debt” games will be played by students grades 7 through 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27.

Bring the little ones, ages 3 through 5, for the “Save It, Spend It” storytime at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 30.

On Wednesday, May 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. students kindergarten through sixth grade will enjoy “Buy It, Sell It” board games.

The “Kids Artists Market” from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, is geared for kids ages 5 through 10 who will get to learn about money by getting the chance to buy their own art supplies with a budget of the library’s “Think Money” dollars.

For details on this and other programs, contact the library staff at 708-798-0121 or visit www.homewoodlibrary.org.
