Flossmoor Station to host 2nd annual Home Brew Competition

Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery is hosting its second annual Home Brew Competition from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.

The competition will feature ales and lagers from nearly 20 home brewers. A panel of local brewmasters will judge the beers to crown the top three brews. In addition, attendees can also vote on a “crowd favorite.”

Tickets can be purchased for $25 and will include samples from each of the home brews in a souvenir glass. Attendees will also get a pint and 22 ounce bottle of the Station’s new “The Hidden Gem,” which is a grapefruit Kolsch style ale issued in conjunction with the first Hidden Gem Half Marathon, which will be run Sept. 7 in Flossmoor.

During the home brew event, Flossmoor Station will also be hosting a cookout in its Craft Beer Garden, which features the newly renovated Caboose Taproom, fire pit and dog park. Additional craft beer and food will be available for purchase.

Tickets are on sale online. Day-of ticket sales are welcome, but dependent on availability.

Flossmoor Station is located at 1035 Sterling Ave. For more information, visit www.flossmoorstation.com or call 708-957-2739.
