Perry will be receiving the Varsity Coach of the Year Award. Players being honored are Nicholas Sline, who tied for the Varsity Top Scorer Award, and Patrick Hutton, who tied for the Varsity Top Goaltender Award.

Team members are Carter Andersen, Joey Boldt, Jack Calomino, Bobby Garrity, Eric Gerecke, Michael Grupp, Nick Hardison, Patrick Hutton, Charlie Knetl, Gabbie Kral, Christian Lively, Miguel Mancha, Max Nicolazzi, Nick Sline and Jake Spencer.

The team is coached by Perry and coaches Kevin Galich and Terry Mattia.

H-F plays in the Hayes-Suburban Division of the hockey league. It plays schools and recreational teams around the area. Hockey is a club sport at H-F.

The H-F team hoped to win the Hayes Cup for a second year but finished the regular season in second place.

In the playoffs, H-F defeated the Mid-Valley Rampage 3-1 in the quarterfinals, Perry said. Their luck gave out in the semi-final match with an overtime 3-2 loss to the Lockport/Lemont Spartans.

The overall team record this season was 21-6-1.

Perry said the team is losing four powerhouse seniors and will be in a rebuild mode for 2019-2020.
