Glenwood Academy seeks marathon runners to support the school

Glenwood Academy officials announced Monday that the school has been chosen as one of the charitable partners of the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020.

This is the first year that Glenwood Academy will have a team in the Chicago Marathon, called the Glenwood Gazelles. The academy is recruiting runners locally and from across the country to participate in the team and raise money for the school.

Runners must register by Dec. 3.

Team benefits include:

  • A guaranteed spot in the Chicago Marathon.
  • Waiver of the $205 registration fee.
  • A discounted training program with virtual and group options available.
  • Race day headquarters at Aureillo’s Pizza, located less than a half-mile from the start and finish line.
  • Fundraising tips and support throughout training.
  • A special prize for the top fundraiser.

Runners are asked to raise a minimum of $1,250 for the Glenwood Gazelles Team, with all money raised going to Glenwood Academy. To register, contact Nathalie Hill at [email protected].
