Flossmoor trustees to discuss possible infrastructure bond referendum

The Flossmoor Board of Trustees will discuss the possibility of placing a bond referendum on the November ballot to raise money for infrastructure projects, including street repair and stormwater drainage.

Village staff members have presented several options for the board to consider, depending on how those projects are prioritized.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday and will be conducted both in person and by phone.

In other business, the board will honor two Flossmoor Golf Club employees, Ruben Martinez and Raul Lara, for life saving aid rendered to a motorist who was involved in a crash near the club.

The board also will consider a special use permit for a second sport court at 1833 Cornell Road, a budget amendment and the renewal of an ordinance granting the mayor special powers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The public can monitor the meeting by dialing 1-408-418-9388. The meeting access code is 126 647 5828. The password is 60422.

In person attendance will be limited to no more than 50 people, and everyone in attendance will be required to participate in temperature screening, wear face coverings and observe physical distancing guidelines.

Anyone with a temperature of more than 100.4 degrees will be asked to leave.
