The Homewood Public Library submitted a 2020 tax levy of $2,741,450 to the Cook County Clerk’s Office.
The library board approved the levy at a Dec. 2 meeting.
The levy shows an increase of just 2% over the 2019 levy of $2,687,986.
The library is currently closed under COVID-19 mitigation restrictions. Librarian Colleen Waltman said patrons are using curbside pick-up and using the library’s drive-thru services to collect books and other materials.
The library staff is available at 708-798-0121 to answer questions about services.
