Marcus Randle El, 33, of Homewood has been arrested in connection with the death of two women in Janesville, Wisconsin, on Monday, according to media reports.
Randle El turned himself in to Chicago police on Saturday, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
The former Wisconsin Badger football player is the brother of Antwaan Randle El, who was a star receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Randle El had a criminal history that included charges of kidnapping and battery. He was released from prison in October 2018 after serving time for kidnapping his daughter at gunpoint, according to the Tribune story.
