Izaak Walton invites voting on photo contest entries

More than 150 photos have been entered in the second annual Homewood Izaak Walton Photo Contest, according to the nature preserve’s photo contest committee, and fans of the preserve are invited to vote on their favorites.

“We are delighted that despite the pandemic, so many photographers still took the time to enter their photos,” said Howard Wolinsky, spokesman for the photo committee.

An independent panel of professional photographers will choose their favorites.

The public also can vote for favorite images on the preserve’s Facebook page. Please limit likes to 12.

The public’s votes will be used along with the recommendations from the judges to determine the winners which will be used on a 2021 calendar for the preserve.

Public voting ends Thursday morning.
