VILLAGE BUSINESS – At the Homewood Village Board meeting on Tuesday, trustees will consider a number of changes to the municipal code, including to liquor licensing, remote meeting rules, public dances and parking regulations. Trustees also plan to pass a resolution of their intent to reimburse the owner of Homewood Chevrolet for eligible TIF expenses in acquiring Van Drunen Ford. 7 p.m. at Homewood Village Hall and online
ROLL OUT THE BARRELS – Bidding is open for Flossmoor’s Barrels of Hope, hand-painted beer barrels that are part of a project to engage local artists and engender messages of hope and inspiration. The barrels, which were used to brew craft beer at Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, will be displayed in Flossmoor through mid-September, when auction winners will take them home. Proceeds benefit Flossmoor’s Public Art Commission.
