Illinois Department of Public Health adds partnership to expand K-12 school COVID-19 testing

To help increase capacity and facilitate faster access to COVID-19 testing in schools across the state, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has partnered with the U.S. Health and Human Services’ Midwest COVID-19 Testing Coordination Center (MCC) to provide testing to all public and private schools that are now seeking to establish a testing program.

State announces community-based COVID-19 testing sites now open to all

The State of Illinois is opening its community-based testing sites to anyone to get tested for COVID-19, regardless of symptoms or other criteria. Testing remains crucial to the state's efforts to prevent additional spread of the disease. 

No appointment, doctor referral or insurance is needed at state operated drive-thru sites and testing is available at no cost to the individual.

State health officials announce 3 more COVID-19-related deaths, discuss causes of spike in cases

The Illinois Department of Public Health today announced the death of three people in Illinois with coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  The individuals include a Will County resident in his 50s, a Cook County resident in her 80s and an out-of-state resident in her 70s who was in Sangamon County.
