It’s not easy meeting expenses when revenue is limited, but Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233, serving 2,800 students, has managed to present balanced budgets the past 12 years.

University Park, IL: October 2014 – The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Governors State University (“SBDC at GSU”) will host its 12th Veteran’s Entrepreneurial Boot Camp on November 13, 2014, featuring a wide range of informative lectures and workshops from business experts.
Homewood will host one of four public hearings scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 5, on Metra's proposed 2015 budget. Four more hearings are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6.
The hearing will be in the board room at Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Administrators in District 153 say the $7.5 million bond issue passed in 2011 has made all the difference to the district’s bottom line. Without that tax referendum money, the district would not be able to meet the community’s high expectations for its schools.
